Steaks From Rare To Medium Well

Personally, I like mine well done, and it’s brought tears to a chefs eyes, however, if it’s a decent cut, steak is usually more tender the less time it is cooked.
For one inch steaks on a medium-high heat use the following times, cook longer if thicker. The outside will always be a grey-brown. Well done steaks will have no pink and be greyish in the center
Medium well, cook 11-12 mins light pink in the center.
Medium, cook 9-10 mins pink in the center.
Medium rare, cook 7-8 mins, red in the center.
Rare, cook for 5 mins, red in the center.  

*The Bear’s Grill is my husbands nickname for the BBQ
