The Turkish Room – A Place to Relax

The Turkish room is an alcove off the sitting room, I call it that because of the decorative arch that frames the area. I believe it was an enclosed porch or sunroom as the basement does not extend underneath this part of the house, I am not sure when it changed certainly after the foundation was poured but as it was being built, I think the design was changed as the windows are all original. It is a perfect area for reading and I have added a table for puzzles and board games as we all enjoy those and we have never had enough room before to leave a puzzle table up permanently
