My Favourite Recipe for Beeswax Lip Balm/Salve & Are Easy Gift Ideas Too

It has been really cold here in Windsor & Essex County the so called “banana belt” of Canada, so keeping skin moisturized is a priority! This is safe to use for people with sensitive skin.
1 SQUARE INCH OF PURE BEESWAX
6 TEASPOONS OF ALMOND OIL OR OLIVE OIL
1/2 TEASPOON OF HONEY OR A COUPLE OF DROPS OF ESSENTIAL OIL SUCH AS MINT, ROSE OR LAVENDER
YOU CAN USUALLY FIND SMALL METAL TINS AT CRAFT STORES. TO SAVE TIME & THERE IS NO WASTE ON CLEAN UP, I USE THEM DIRECTLY IN A SMALL FRY PAN WITH AN INCH OF WATER. ONE AT A TIME.
PLACE BEESWAX AND OIL IN A SMALL METAL TIN.
BRING WATER TO BOIL IN PAN GENTLY. ONCE MELTED, IT WILL BE CLEAR. ADD HONEY OR ESSENTIAL OIL AND STIR WITH A WOODEN STIR STICK TO BLEND.ADJUST BEESWAX OIL COMBINATION IF YOU PREFER A HARDER OR SOFTER BALM
LEAVE TO COOL AND CAP. IF GIVING AS A GIFT ADD A PRETTY STICKER OR LABEL.
TO USE: PLACE FINGER IN BALM TO WARM SLIGHTLY AND APPLY TO LIPS.
These are great for gifts at any time of the year.
