Ideas Worth Saving – Eggshell Starter Pots

After cooking your eggs save your empty eggshells as starter pots for seeds. Plant according to instructions and place seeds in the used eggshells that have some potting mix added. Leave in original eggshell carton. Water as needed and transplant to garden when 3 inches tall or weather dictates. When planting in garden just crush the eggshell base gently to break open so roots grow deep without damage.
