If you are thinking of sewing seeds left over from last year, make sure they are viable before using. Here is an easy way to check. Lay a dozen seeds on a moist paper towel, fold over and place in to a labelled dated plastic bag. Place in a warm spot for several days, then check to see if any have sprouted. if more then half have, plant as per instructions on packet. If only a few have sprouted sew heavily to make up for shortfall. If none have sprouted discard into compost.
