Packing Up a One Bedroom Apartment in Ottawa Ontario

Last week I packed up a one bedroom apartment in Ottawa. It was a labour of love, no payment here as my husband has been in Ottawa working and has now retired, at least for the moment. He thought I might have to Fedex a couple of boxes but the rest could go be packed in the car.

Ha! I don’t think so! I looked through the hotel apartment and advised a moving company had to be hired! Only 3 cupboards, a large closet, together with a small  kitchen was housing 30 boxes of assorted stuff that had expertly been squirrelled away and in only 5 months! The only furniture was from the balcony, two black metal folding chairs and a table destined for the garden. The hotel very kindly provided the additional boxes as I needed more than I had brought. The moving company was hired, everything was packed and picked up and still the car was packed to the gills for the journey home to Windsor. Still it was lovely to take him home for good and leave the snow behind.
