Unexpected Guests – An Easy Snack To Serve With Drinks

Cocktail Hour in Windsor Ontario
Cocktail Hour in Windsor Ontario

Keep your pantry stocked with staples such as nuts, jars of artichokes, spreads, assorted crackers, in the fridge some cheese and you will always have a snack on hand when the doorbell rings and you find friends on your doorstep, this is what we made in a jiffy. While my husband poured drinks, I took a packet of smoked salmon that was in the freezer, opened it, and put it out on to a large platter to defrost. Next I opened a box of crackers and emptied those into a bowl, I then took some cream cheese, horseradish and sour cream and using a immersion blender, blended until smooth. This I topped with black pepper. Using scissors I cut the now defrosted salmon in to smaller pieces and served. Everyone loved it and we had a great time.
