Spiced Apple Cheesecake

My daughter made a gingerbread house for Christmas but it went uneaten with so much food in the house. There was a large bowl of assorted apples too, as well as a tiny quantity of almonds. So on my last trip to the grocery store, I picked up some cream cheese.

I smashed up the gingerbread adding it to some cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, nuts and melted butter, stirring to coat the crumbs, pressing into a spring-form baking pan.

Next, I made the applesauce adding some butterscotch liqueur. I cut some apple slices to roast for the topping.

For the filling, I used 500 grams of cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugars, some more cinnamon, cardamom, & nutmeg. Two eggs and 1/4 cup of flour. It was then baked for an hour at 375 degrees in the middle of a gas oven or here is the conversion for temperature

Assembled with a dusting of icing sugar, it was delicious!
